John W. Stafford, M.D.

Dr. John Stafford is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. In 1976, he received his Medical Doctor degree from Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans. He went on to practice as an emergency room physician at Lafayette Charity Hospital before developing Walk In Clinic in 1980. As the area’s needs for occupational services increased, he developed Stafford Evaluation Drug Analysis and Stafford Occupational Medicine. Throughout the years, these three clinics have become known as Stafford HealthCare Clinics. Dr. Stafford specializes in general practice and occupational medicine. He is also a certified Medical Review Officer, as well as a medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration. He is affiliated with local hospitals as a member of the active staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and the consulting staffs at Lafayette General Hospital and Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana. Dr. Stafford also holds memberships to the American Medical Association, the Louisiana State Medical Society, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
